'19 Dream News
In the work called “Dream News” I explore the effects of dreams on the future. Empowering the capacity of dreams to form the future by spreading and multiplying them in periodic publishing. In standard newspapers we always read the news of the past, while the news of the future is hidden in today’s imaginations. Can’t the future be formed with our dreams instead of the remedies we produce for the problems we experience? Dream News is an experiment to form the future by today’s dreams instead of producing cures to problems. This paper collects dreams from different places and communities with each issue; making them visible in order to be heard, realized, and to help them turn into others dreams as well. It contains the participants’ dreams, wishes, notes and drawings for the future.

The first issue of the newspaper was realized in Finland, at world's first zero waste town called Ii. This issue, “Dream News / Unelma Uutiset” was made within Lähde!, a project with the aim of preventing social exclusion.
The content and design of this issue was made together with the customers and colleagues of Myötätuuli mental health rehabilitation center in Ii, Tolppa mental health rehabilitation center in Oulu, and IiPaja center for the unemployed in Ii. The project is funded by European Social Fund and run by the Oulunkaari joint authority and Art Centre KulttuuriKauppila.
